It’s about time someone steps up to stage an intervention for the troubled Tappahanock, VA singer. Chris Brown was just released from jail after a 4am arrest on Sunday for punching a man who wanted his photograph in DC. Chris is currently on probation still after attacking then girlfriend Rihanna. Even his closest supporters can’t ignore the ever growing rap sheet coming from a singer known more lately for his violent incidents than his music. Friends, family and now his team feel he needs some help.
“He’s a good kid, but he keeps messing up,” the source said. “He needs help. He keeps self-medicating with weed and alcohol and that’s when he always gets in trouble.”
“No one is making excuses for Chris,” the source said. “No one is condoning what he has done. But what people don’t realize is how bad it’s gotten for him. He has all this money and success and he keeps apologizing, but he continues to be one of the most hated people in the business. He gets depressed and then self-medicates. He has a lot of yes-people around him who don’t want to help. They just want the money and want to have a good time.”
Chris has repeatedly through the years had incidents from going off in Wal-Mart wondering why his music isn’t sold there after attacking Rihanna to fighting rapper Drake and singer Frank Ocean. He has a clear disconnect where he feels there should be no consequences for his actions. In August when he was found to have lied about doing community service, a judge ordered him 1,000 hours leading to a Twitter attack aimed at the judge from none other than Chris himself.
“Community service, that s–t is a b-tch. I’ll be honest – and you can quote me on that – that is a motherf–ker there. For me, I think it’s more of a power trip for the DA. I can speak freely now, because I don’t really care what they say about it, but as far as, like, the 1,000 extra hours they gave me, that’s totally fricking bananas.”
Chris has been on a road of self-destruction for years now. We just hope that he gets the help he needs.
